Analía Capponi-Savolainen is a doctoral researcher at the University of the Arts Helsinki, Sibelius Academy. She is a singer, music educator and singing teacher specialized in teaching singing to children. Furthermore, she has an extensive experience teaching singing to children of different nationalities and ages not only in Finland but also in Latin America, North America and Australia. Her work as a Suzuki Voice teacher specialist and as teacher educator has also enriched her experiences at local and international level.
Analía Capponi-Savolainen’s current research project is part of the Academy of Finland’s Strategic Research Council research initiative ArtsEqual ([email protected] group). Her research project examines the potential of singing in the construction of children’s individual and social identity in the context of the culturally diverse Finnish school.
